Hello Akiko, I am sure that you will enjoy Hatanaka. I have not stayed there myself, but I have heard plenty about it. The kaiseki you will enjoy when you stay at Hatanaka will surely be more courses. What we had was a ‘light’ hamo kaiseki lunch. I hope that you enjoy your stay in Kyoto! Thanks for posting your review on Gion Hatanaka– Four of us will be staying there for one night during our October trip in Kyoto. I’m looking forward to the onsen and introducing my friends to real Kaiseki ryori. After seeing your photos, I’m so excited we’re staying there! I’m definitely reading all your reviews to get tips on other Kyoto places not to be missed.
