About Me, Miwa
I have a great love for Kyoto and have lived in Kyoto for more than 6 years. I know the city well and I speak English fluently. When I was in high school I lived in Australia and in university I lived in London. After returning to Japan I worked at a famous ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) in Gion for 2 years because I wanted to learn more about and immerse myself in Kyoto culture everyday.
Now I work as an interpreter for foreign visitors to Kyoto.
I have guided many friends around Kyoto and took them on various adventures. Some of them I dressed in kimono and made them up like a Japanese woman.
When you come to Kyoto, be sure to experience the Japanese kimono!
