Sweet! I ate there am was looking for the name of the noodle dish we had. Omen, eh? Thanks for putting this up. That resturant was great and they were very friendly. Only thing is its a little pricy! I got a few nice photos of everything (including the nice veggie place) but the noodles! :(

The one on Shijo is convenient but, cramped and just generally has a bad charge to the place.
I have not been to the one on Gokomachi.
This one, up by Ginkaku-ji, is big and spacious. It offers a counter, tatami (zaseki) and regular tables.
The interior is quite nice, tradition Japanese, yet all with an at home, casual atmosphere.

Again, prices; Omen is a little pricey I have always thought. But hey, this is Kyoto! The dinner we had in this review was more than 3,000 yen, I think.

What's the restaurant like inside? I've only been to the ones on Gokoumachi and Shijyo. I prefer the one on Gokoumachi. It's in traditional style but has tables if you prefer them to tatami. It's also quieter than the one on Shijyo.
