I have not been to the one on Gokomachi. This one, up by Ginkaku-ji, is big and spacious. It offers a counter, tatami (zaseki) and regular tables. The interior is quite nice, tradition Japanese, yet all with an at home, casual atmosphere. Again, prices; Omen is a little pricey I have always thought. But hey, this is Kyoto! I've only been to the ones on Gokoumachi and Shijyo. I prefer the one on Gokoumachi. It's in traditional style but has tables if you prefer them to tatami. It's also quieter than the one on Shijyo.
